13th annual Zen Course Preparation
13th annual Zen Course preparation and materials ⛩️
Materials:
- Calligraphy brush
- Calligraphy paint
- Paintbrush
- Paper
- Notebook
- Pencil
- Working camera and microphone
If you do not come to class prepared or with the necessary materials, you cannot be graded and may be removed from the class or course.
Preparation:
- Check this group routinely for updates on assignments and preparation for classes.
- Prepare for an in person excursion week 5 (June 28). Parents and family are welcome
- 11x14 canvas for final assignment painting will be required. See amazon link for reference but you can find them MUCH cheaper at the dollar store.
- An optional final assignment will start on week 1. You must nurture and tend to a bonsai seed. See the post following this one for details. Bonus grades given but will not be taken away for being unsuccessful.
- Use the link below to join the Zen course. Be 15 minutes early and ensure you are at a work station with ample space for calligraphy, writing and painting. Don't be late! you may not be permitted into class.

- You must be fully visible and attentive on your camera. You must be able to be heard from your microphone or you cannot be graded.
- 4:30 - 6:00 PM is the timeslot but some classes may exceed this so prepare an extra 15 minutes. First class May 31, see dojo calendar for the remainder.
- only one absence is permitted in order to be able to successfully complete the course. More details regarding successful course completion will be discussed in our first class. If you miss a class, Contact a classmate to get caught up.
